Blog Post #7: About Me

Kyle Pereira
Growing up I played basketball, baseball, football, and soccer as a child. I played basketball and soccer on travel teams all the way up to my freshman year of high school, where I dropped basketball for wrestling and soccer for football. My high school career has included me playing football, baseball, and wrestling. After my freshman year I dropped baseball so I can join a travel wrestling team that will lead me to my goal of winning a state championship. I am a middle line backer second string getting limited plays on Friday nights for the Norton Lancers. On the mat, I started at 170 pounds after Elliott Johnson dislocated his elbow. I went 20-6 this season with placing 6th at Marshfeild Holiday tournament, shocker to the coaches. With never seeing the varsity level before and placed at the hardest tournament in the district. My favorite sport is wrestling, but my favorite athlete to ever play is number 52 on the Ravens Ray Lewis.
A couple of my favorite sports quotes:

  • "When you want to succeed as bad as you want to breathe then you will be successful."
  • "When I step on the field, it's on. I know it's time to go to work."
